Nothing square, nothing straight, and three days
Mr Fox is the owner of a beautiful Victorian home in the town of Shefford. The house dates back to the 1860s and is typical of a property of this era. The very features that add character to a period property also present challenges when it comes to maintenance or restoration. The walls have stood the test of time, but after nearly one hundred and seventy years they are delicate. It is almost impossible not to encounter an off angle or a non-straight edge — our technicians did not let that stand in their way.
Mr Fox came across the Schnauber website while researching a supplier he could trust to replace three timber doors. After looking through the work on our site and Facebook page, and listening to the video testimonials from our customers, he felt confident we could help and completed the contact form.
Marius contacted him and arranged a home visit. He identified two key concerns over the telephone: the cosmetic appearance and the security of the existing timber doors, which were rotten and on their last legs.
Marius brought samples of the material used to manufacture our wooden doors and examples of the locking devices available. Mr Fox was impressed by the quality and sturdiness of the samples, the multi-point locking, the steel hinge protectors and the security glass. He placed the order confident we could deliver the security he wanted for his young family.
The installation of the French doors and back entrance door took just three days. That speed comes from preparation in the factory at the point of manufacture, which saves time on site and reduces disruption. Mr Fox was extremely pleased with the finished job and the improvement to the security of his home.
